I participated in a 4-week program to improve my snowboarding skills. I achieved my goals as I was able to focus on the areas that I wanted to work on and as a result I now have sponsors. As the winter season goes on for longer than in Japan, it was great that I was able to participate after the winter season finished in Japan. I hope to come back to Whistler soon on a working holiday visa and work on developing my skills even more.

I participated in a 3-week program to obtain a ski instructor certification. I was able to focus and take part in indoor lectures and on-hill lessons and practice English a lot, which I was not really confident in. Thanks to this time, I was able to pass the certification exam on my first try. I hope to participate in the sports program again to try to achieve the next certification level.
