All of our staff members have experience living overseas and have previous experiences with studying abroad, going on working holiday, attending post-secondary school overseas and working overseas.
As our staff have personally experienced the anxiety and hardships as previous international students themselves, we can provide relatable advice.

Yusuke Shinozaki

Ski Guide, Golf Instructor
I originally came to Whistler with the intention of studying English for a year but I was pulled in by Whistler's charm and have been living here for 15 years now. I have obtained the CSIA Level 2 certification and am currently working on passing Level 3. I also started golfing as a hobby for the summer but I am now part of the PGA of Canada and I am working on becoming a Class A Professional.

During the winter, I work as a ski instructor and show how great Whistler is to customers from all over the world. I also have a certification in Shiatsu and work as a sports trainer. We recommend a massage from her after skiing.

Shiro Nakajima

Director of Canadian Sports Business Academy
Shiro has been living in Canada for thirty years. In skiing, he has the CSIA Level 4 certification, the highest level achievable, and in golf, he is a PGA Canada Class A professional. He has successfully trained many students in becoming athletes. He also has many years of experience as a ski guide in Europe, Oceania and North America, and has earned the trust of many customers.
In 1999, he served as a caddy for Shigeki Maruyama in the PGA NEC World Series (6th place), and has many of experiences of accompanying tour professionals in many major tournaments in North America, such as the Masters. He has a good reputation for giving technical guidance according to each athletes' level and needs.

Eigo Takaya

Professional Snowboard Coach
Eigo has been living in Whistler for eight years and has over twenty years of experience in snowboarding. He is a graduate of the CSBA Snowboard Athlete Program. After graduating from CSBA and working as a professional in Japan, he immigrated to Canada in 2012.
Currently, as a snowboard coach of CSBA, he trains athletes and educates students working to become instructors. With his easy-to-understand guidance, adjusted to each persons' level, he is popular with students of all ages, from children to adults.
You will not be able to get enough of his exciting lessons on a powder day. He has the most repeat customers at Endeavour Tours.

Akiko Takemoto

Ski Guide
Akiko is a CSIA Level 4 ski instructor and works at the ski school in Whistler during the winter. Her attentive-to-detail skiing instruction and ski guiding has a great reputation with customers from all over the world.
During the summer, she works as a sommelier in Japan and can give you great wine recommendations that suit your taste. She is a guide popular with people of all demographics.

Chase Baines

Professional Snowboarder
Chase is a professional snowboarder from Newfoundland and has twenty years of experience as a snowboarder.
With experience as a professional athlete, he currently coaches at CSBA and at Snowboard Addiction, the world's best snowboard tutorial site.

Yuki Matoba

Yuki Matoba

SIA Demonstrator
As a demonstrator of SIA (The Professional Ski Instructor’s Association of Japan), Yuki enrolled at CSBA in 2016 and succesfully achieved the CSIA Level 3 certification. He is currently working to achieve level 4 and teaches skiing at Whistler Ski School and CSBA. Besides skiing, he also engages in many other sports such as road biking. He provides great service with his experienced skiing skills and is popular with many customers.

Paul Morgan

ESL Instructor
Paul is an ESL instructor who has experience in teaching English in many different countries.
He also is a CASI Level 4 snowboard instructor and is a great snowboarder and skateboarder and works in multiple fields.

Michael d ’Artois

Michael d’Artois

ESL Instructor
Michael is a local ESL instructor who has lived in Canada for fifty years and very knowledgeable about Canadian history.
He is also certified as a ski instructor and works as a ski instructor in the winter and is popular with many repeat customers. He is very active and plays golf and goes hiking in the summer.
His son, Simon d'Artois, is a gold medalist of the X Games in the Men's SuperPipe and participated as an athlete at the Pyeongchang Olympics. If you are lucky, you might have the chance to meet him!

Tomomi Tamai

Tomomi Tamai

Snowboard Guide, SUP Guide
During the winter, Tomomi snowboards and takes on steep hills and cliffs, while in the summer, she is an active skateboarder who also works as a SUP guide. She can show you around rivers and lakes of BC.
She has experience working as a SUP guide in Okinawa and can provide customers with a great experience. She has a bright, bubbly personality and is popular with senior customers. She is also familiar with restaurants in Whistler Village, so feel free to ask her for recommendations.
